The Guangzhou Local Chronicles Museum

 

广州市地方志馆南邻白云新城中心广场，建筑面积12629平方米，包括“方志广州  羊城今古”展厅、馆藏书库、业务管理区及4D影院、报告厅等共用区域，凸显地情展示、教育、服务、文献、编纂、影音中心功能，与广州城市规划展览中心共同打造广州城市之窗。地方志馆主入口设在负一楼南侧。

On the south of Centural Plaza of Baiyun New Town and covering an area of 12,629 square meters, the New Guangzhou Local Chronicles Museum with public areas including exhibition hall of “Local Chronicles to show the past and present Guangzhou”, stacks, service management area, 4D cinema, auditorium to realize its major functions of display, education, service, literature, compilation of local informationand media center, serves as the window of Guangzhou together with Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center. The main entrance is at the southern part of basement-1, the second entrance is at the southern hall on the first floor and the third entrance at the northern side of the first floor, with gilding-line-engraving mural on black granite depicting “Hundreds of Sails Racing on the Calm Sea”.

Hall of Preface

由白云山、五羊石像、广州塔等广州代表元素构成巨幅浮雕墙，按下墙上“城”“商”“政”“人”“水”“文”感应点，即播放对应介绍短片。

The vast wall of relief is featured as Baiyun Mountain, Statue of Five Rams, Canton Tower and other representative Guangzhou factors. If you touch sensors including the words Urban,Commerce, Politics, People, Water and Culture, introduction films will be played accordingly.

Guangzhou in Local Chronicles

介绍广州历代志书编修情况，20世纪80年代新方志事业起步，当前已形成“志、鉴、报、馆、网、库、会、刊、研、用”十业并举新格局。

The compilation of Guangzhou Local Chronicles of past ages is introduced here. The work on the new Local Chronicles started in 1980s, which has developed into a comprehensive program covering local chronicles, yearbooks, newspapers, museums, nets, libraries, associations, publications, research and application.

海上丝绸之路红木宫灯，广东省工艺美术大师罗昭亮捐赠，他为本馆制作了37件宫灯作品，捐赠的红木龙凤宫灯、红木玻璃屏风、红木台灯充满宫廷气派和地方特色。

The “Belt and Road” Lantern donated by Luo Zhaoliang who is a master of arts and crafts of Guangdong Province. Mr Luo donated 37 lanterns including the redwood Dragon and Phoenix Palace Lantern, redwood glass screen and redwood table lamp with court style and local features.

Political Achievement: the Source of Revolution, and Pilot of Reformation

展示近现代民主革命策源地、当代改革开放前沿地广州，“敢为人先、敢于杀出一条血路”的开拓精神。

The pioneering spirit of Guangzhou as the source of democratic reform in the modern times and the pioneer of reform and opening-up in contemporary era, “dare to be the first, dare to fight the way out” is shown.

资政专区：历届市委市政府重要文件、历年民生实事、乡规民约、百年灾难回放

Social Governance area: A review of important documents of all previous Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, facts about people’s livelihood over the years, village regulations and agreements, and disasters in the past one hundred years.

英雄故事屋：立体再现三元里抗英、黄花岗起义、广州起义、广州解放等重大历史事件视频。

Story Room of Heroes: Videos of major historic events including Sanyuanli Anti-British incident, Huanghuagang Uprising, Guangzhou Uprising Emancipation of Guangzhou.

5. Water: Baiyun Mountain and Pearl River Cultivate a Green and Flowering City

一幅立体珠江画卷，讲述了当代水城的“水生态”“水经济”“水文化”“水环境”“水安全”。船行广州故事屋让观众乘上游船，身临其境感受云山珠水之间的美丽风景。

A stereoscopic picture roll to present the water ecology, water economy, water culture, water environment, water security of the modern water city. In the Guangzhou Story Room, visitors can immerse themselves in the beautiful sceneries of Baiyun Mountain and Pearl River on a pleasure-boat.

Animation of Eight Sights of the Ram City in ancient and modern times: the Eight Sights of the Ram City selected in the Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing Dynasties and in the contemporary times are displayed dynamically.

  

水展区的“羊城八景”以云山叠翠、珠水夜韵、越秀新晖、天河飘绢、古祠留芳、五环晨曦、黄花皓月、莲峰观海为主题，展示广州山水之美。广东省政协委员、骨雕艺术家苏忠阳向市地方志馆提供了松鹤延年、羊城八景、阿育王柱等20件岭南骨雕艺术精品。

The exhibit “Eight Sights of Guangzhou” in the “Water” exhibition area themed Baiyun Mountain in Layered Green, Lingering Charm of Pearl River at Night, New Elegance of Yuexiu Mountain, Floating Silk in Tianhe, Legacy of Chen Clan Academy, First Sunrays in The Morning on the Five Rings, Noble Moon above Huang Hua Gang, A Grand View of the Sea from Lianhua Mountain, which shows the beauty of Guangzhou. Su Zhongyang, a bone carving artist and CPPCC member of Guangdong Province, donated 20 pieces of bone carving masterpiece to Guangzhou Local Chronicles Museum, such as Pine and Crane for Longevity, Eight Sights of Guangzhou and Ashoka Column.

6. Culture: A Famous Cultural City Leading Elegance

广州采中原精萃，纳四海新风，蕴育出岭南画派、粤剧、广东音乐、“三雕一彩一绣”等文化遗产。

With the essence of the central plain culture and the cultural elements across the country, Lingnan School of paiting, Cantonese opera, Guangdong Music and Carving, Canton Enamel, and Canton Embroidery are born in Guangzhou.

粤剧故事屋：欣赏著名艺术家红线女、倪惠英经典曲目及倪惠英等80多名粤剧演员专门表演制作的5场粤剧折子戏。

Zhang Zhigong, the former director of the General Office of United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee visited the exhibition area of Culture

 

著名粤剧表演艺术家倪惠英向李培林常务副组长介绍在粤剧故事屋戏台播放的她和80多名演员专场为地方志馆拍摄制作而主演的5场粤剧折子戏

Famous artist of Cantonese Opera Ni Huiying introduced to Executive Deputy Head of the Group Li Peilin the five Zhezixi video of Cantonese Opera played on the Story House Stage, which she and more than 80 performers starred in and filmed for the new museum.

 

“百年陈皮”曾被列为广东每年进奉慈禧太后的贡品，广州白云山陈李济药厂有限公司捐赠。陈李济2010年被认定为“全球最长寿药厂”（吉尼斯世界纪录）。

"Dried tangerine peel of hundred years" had been listed as a tribute to the Empress Dowager Ci Xi every year in Guangdong. The dried tangerine peel in the museum was donated by Guangzhou Baiyun Mountain Chan Li Chai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. donated. Chan Li Chai was named "the world's oldest pharmaceutical company" in 2010 (Guinness world records).

 

 

非物质文化遗产“西关打铜”传承人苏广伟、苏英敏（广州市铜声钢器贸易有限公司）为本馆提供21件打铜工艺作品，捐赠的手工打铜《黄金三角梦幻组合》铜牌，聚合琶洲互联网创新集聚区、珠江新城、国际金融城“黄金三角”。

Inheritors of the intangible cultural heritage of "Xiguan Copper Beating Craftwork” Su Guangwei and Su Yingmin (Guangzhou Tongsheng Steel Trade Co. Ltd.) donated 21 Copper Beating works, including a manual copper tablet named "Golden Triangle" with the combination of Pazhou Internet Innovation Cluster Zone, Zhujiang New Town and International Financial City.

陈氏书院首进建筑模型，是络家积木营建的广州人自己的特色积木文化产品，络家积木公司总经理陈俊权提供的21件积木作品，深受少儿喜爱。

This is the model of the first entry of Chen Clan Academy. It is a building block of Guangzhou people's own characteristic building blocks produced by Guangzhou Luojia Industrial Co.,Ltd.. The 21 pieces of building blocks provided by Chen Junquan, general manager of Guangzhou Luojia Industrial Co.,Ltd., are popular among children.

The economic and social development in Pearl River Delta and Pan-Pearl River Delta are presented, highlighting the achievements of integrative development and regional comprehensive strength.

开放时间

（一）周二至周日（及法定节假日）9:00～17:00（16:30停止入场）。

（二）周一闭馆（法定节假日除外）。

 

参观、预约

（一）个人。因预约系统正在建设中，暂不办理预约。参观者只需携带个人有效证件，在广州市地方志馆展厅服务进行登记即可入内参观。

（二）10人及以上团体。因预约系统正在建设中，目前团体预约临时采取两种办法：在参观日前三天，一是电话预约，在周一至周五（9∶00～11∶30，14∶30～17∶00）拨打电话预约（83593657、83490493）；二是广州市情网站预约，通过“在线咨询”栏目进行预约，预约时须提供单位名称、预约人姓名、联系方式、预约参观人数、参观时间，是否安排讲解等信息；三是电子邮件预约，把预约信息发至672330129@qq.com。目前，每天最多安排10次免费团队讲解。

（五）爱护并正确使用公共设施，请勿触摸展品。

（六）自觉维护环境卫生，请勿丢弃杂物，禁止吸烟或使用明火。

（七）自觉遵守参观秩序，请勿大声喧哗、追逐打闹。

（八）如遇各类突发事件，请服从工作人员指挥。

（九）个人参观不提供停车位，请市民乘坐公共交通（广州地铁2号线白云文化广场站A出口东行100米），团队参观停车请服从工作人员指挥。

（十）请爱护展墙、展品、设备，以及其他公共服务设施，如有损坏照价赔偿，情节严重需承担相应法律责任。
